PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Phoenix Marine Manufacturing is looking for a dynamic, passionate individual to join our diverse team to manage the Procurement function for our Atlantis Factory.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the marine manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective procurement strategies and achieving cost savings.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software and tools
  • Knowledge of the marine manufacturing industry and its suppliers and vendors
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas:

  • Develop and maintain procurement strategies for various categories of goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, spare parts, etc.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and vendors that meet the company’s quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best prices, terms, and conditions for the company.
  • Review and evaluate existing contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors and renew or terminate them as needed.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of suppliers and vendors and ensure compliance with the contract specifications and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Manage the procurement team and provide guidance, training, and feedback to them.
  • Oversee the procurement processes and systems, such as purchase orders, invoices, payments, inventory, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s policies and procedures, as well as the relevant laws and regulations, regarding procurement.
  • Prepare and present reports and updates on the procurement activities and performance to the senior management and stakeholders.
