Phoenix Marine Manufacturing is looking for a dynamic, passionate individual to join our diverse team to manage the Quality Control for our Atlantis Factory.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years in Quality Control Management Role
• Graduate Degree or Diploma in Quality Assurance, Process Control and Quality Management
• Matric / Grade 12 with mathematics
• Fully computer literate
• Valid driver’s license (Code 08)
• Able to read technical drawings and understand blueprints.
• Marine, Engineering or Manufacturing experience highly advantageous

Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas:–

• Monitoring operations to ensure global production standards are met.
• Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for clients.
• Reject all products and materials that fail to meet high quality standards.
• Establish and enforce quality regulations for all products, processes and employees.
• Inspect, test, and measure materials or products being produced.
• Raise NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) immediately where required and track and update until resolved with due urgency.
• Raise warranty claims to suppliers where products don’t meet standards and are under warranty.
• Receive warranty claims from customers and escalate and manage resolutions.
• Analyze data to develop plans to recruit, motivate, and encourage employees while striving to improve processes and product quality.
• Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
• Recommending adjustments to the assembly or production process to ensure quality control.
• Upholding marine safety regulations
• Governance of processes and reporting to drive standardisaton across the business.
• Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
• Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
• Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
• Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
