Ebrahim Miller serves as Production Manager at Phoenix Marine Manufacturing, where he oversees day-to-day production operations across the yard’s manufacturing lines. With more than a decade of hands-on experience in the yacht building industry, Ebrahim brings a rare combination of technical expertise, production discipline, and leadership capability to one of the most critical roles within the organisation.
His career in boatbuilding began in Cape Town’s globally recognised marine manufacturing sector, where he developed a strong foundation in craftsmanship and assembly processes. Starting as a carpenter in yacht construction, Ebrahim quickly built a reputation for precision, reliability, and a deep understanding of the structural and systems integration requirements of modern sailing catamarans.
He progressed through increasingly senior roles at Robertson and Caine International Yachts, one of the world’s largest catamaran builders, where he spent more than a decade gaining experience across multiple production disciplines. During this time he served as a Quality Inspector, responsible for inspecting complex multi-disciplinary work ranging from tooling and composite structures through to final assembly and commissioning phases. This role sharpened his attention to detail and deepened his understanding of how structural integrity, systems integration, and finish quality combine to create world-class vessels.
Ebrahim later advanced to the position of Assembly Group Leader, where he managed production teams and coordinated large-scale assembly operations. In this leadership role he was responsible for ensuring production schedules were met while maintaining strict quality standards across multiple build stages. His ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining technical oversight helped deliver complex projects efficiently within demanding production environments.
In 2024 he joined Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing as Production Manager, further expanding his leadership experience in yacht production. There he oversaw project management, team coordination, and production planning across the manufacturing floor, refining his ability to manage large teams and complex build schedules.
Today at Phoenix Marine Manufacturing, Ebrahim plays a key role in driving production excellence. As Production Line Manager, he coordinates teams across multiple departments to ensure vessels are delivered according to strict quality standards and timelines. His responsibilities include production planning, team leadership, project coordination, and maintaining rigorous quality control throughout the build process.
Known for his collaborative leadership style and strong organisational skills, Ebrahim is particularly effective at building motivated teams and creating efficient production environments. His background in carpentry, quality inspection, and assembly leadership gives him a comprehensive understanding of every stage of yacht construction — from structural fabrication to final commissioning.
